"Without the love of man, no science can solve any social problems".
Kurt Eisenmeier All members of the community live, learn and work together in small family units, which consist of 5 to 8 residents with special needs, 2 to 3 caregivers, who are responsible for the residents of the house, a housekeeper and two to three volunteers. Every member of the house contributes to the household tasks according with his or her ability. |

The main therapeutical and occupational focus of our community revolves around the workshops. Every weekday morning each resident is assigned to specific work in the pottery, jewelry & handicraft or gardening workshops.
The afternoons are devoted to music, exercising, walking, and in the summertime, swimming in the sea nearby. These activities are offered mainly by the resident staff but we also have outside professionals providing specific therapeutical activities such as art therapy, physiotherapy, gymnastics and music therapy. During the weekends, individuals can choose the activities they would like to participate in. We offer different artistic and spiritual pursuits in connection to the local communities, such as outings to musical events, theater and cinema, church attendance and participation in local celebrations. Every Sunday late afternoon, the entire community gathers in our café for cake, music and games, and we are delighted to host all visitors from the local community. In case of medical need, we have close connection with the local medical community and the hospital in the adjacent city of Amfissa. We also have a permanent relationship with a psychiatrist who visit as regularly. |
